Ine van Son (1964) lives and works in the Netherlands and Clare - Galway.
One part of her work are in-situ installations in which she often uses textiles, next to found objects. These installations are mostly created in commission. The second part of her work is created by using photography and collage-assemblage. These techniques she uses as a kind of 'diary' to record impressions of a location, a period in time, or personal experiences. Because for these works there is no commissioning on the forehand, she is free to experiment which results in often surprising images.
Working associatively, she focusses on a certain detail: a colour, a form, a piece of material. Or an atmosphere, a memory. From that point the images arise.
